Welcome Home from the Porzi clan!
Spending time with Cheryl & Garrett!

Hey there!

It’s been a couple months since you last heard from me but since arriving back home in the middle of August, I have been able to catch up with family and friends that I haven’t seen in over a year and even see WR friends who have come to visit. This has been so good for my soul! God has really blessed me with continued relationships from before the Race, and also blessed me with new ones too as I am fully embracing the emergence of new community and fellowship in this season of my life.

Reuniting with Campus One80, college ministry! Hey Lexi!

Visiting with Jessica and GoBe International in Rhode Island, missionaries I met in Guatemala (2022). Along with me came my cousin Stephanie!

I am so thankful for a rather smooth transition into life here in the States. God has been so gracious! With that said, there definitely have been challenges as well- beginning to plug myself into new community and being separated from WR family, grappling with questions about God, and new/character refining responsibilities at home. In all of that, I am deeply comforted by God’s consistency through the changing seasons and his faithfulness in this prior season of my life too.

My mission field might look different here in Rochester, but I see such a defined mission here in this season and I am STOKED for it! I am very excited as I see God paving new inroads and byways for the Gospel to be furthered and disciples to be made here in my very own hometown!

Alysa, Lindsay, (Michael: behind the camera). Missing you, Myuri!

I hope to write testimonies on this platform as a way to continue the testimonies from the field and share with you stories that maybe I felt were hard to put into words while overseas. Maybe I will even share testimonies of how God is working from my very home town, who knows?! Stay tuned for more stories and testimonies on this blog platform!

Please share how you are doing down below, and any prayer requests you may have! I look forward to interacting with you on this platform!

Much love,

Katherine

  1. And you didn’t even mention your job… So glad you are able to keep up with those precious bonding friendships from WR. Not many people can relate to all that, so it’s good to have that support while they are all transitioning back as well. Say “Hi” to your Dad from us. And we hope your Mom has a great birthday!

    • You’re right, I didn’t even mention my job! But what a blessing it has been to return to those friendships too.
I will relay your blessings to my parents! I really hope to see you and uncle bill relatively soon! You both have been such big supports to this “crazy” journey of my life!
